Best way to reach us

  • Email hello@homeweek.app. It works for help, privacy requests, safety concerns and ideas.
  • Tell us your phone or iPad model, its iOS or iPadOS version, and what you saw on screen.
  • Never send us your password or a pairing code.

1. How to reach us

  • Email: hello@homeweek.app is the best way to reach us about anything: setup, shared screens, privacy, safety or ideas.
  • Phone: (307) 393-5609. For help with the app, email works best, because it gives us the details in writing.
  • Mail: Vantaryn Labs LLC, 30 N Gould St #69108, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.

HomeWeek is a product of Vantaryn Labs LLC. We are a small team. Our inbox isn’t monitored around the clock, and we can’t promise a response time or a particular outcome, so please don’t use email or phone for anything urgent (Section 6). Privacy requests are handled as our Privacy Policy describes.

2. What to include in a request

  • the email address of your HomeWeek account (write from it if you can);
  • your phone or iPad model and its iOS or iPadOS version;
  • what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead; and
  • a screenshot, if it helps. Please crop out anything private.

Please never send us

  • your password, or the codes we email you;
  • a pairing code or an invitation code; or
  • payment card details or your Apple Account password.

3. Setting up the shared iPad

  1. On the iPad, open HomeWeek and choose to set it up as the household’s shared display. It shows an 8-character code.
  2. On your phone, open Settings > Devices & Shared iPad and tap Pair a Shared iPad. The household’s owner or an admin does this.
  3. Enter the code, check the iPad’s name, and choose what it may do.

To change what the iPad can do, or to remove it, go back to Settings > Devices & Shared iPad on your phone. If the iPad restarts, unlock it and open HomeWeek again; nothing can open it remotely.

4. Quick answers

Something I added isn’t on the shared screen

Private items and Busy-only events never appear on shared screens. Open the item on your phone and check who can see it. If it is set to the household, check that your phone shows it as synced and that the shared screen is online.

A change says “Pending sync”

Your change is saved on your device and will be sent when it is online. Keep HomeWeek open for a moment with a connection.

Reminders aren’t arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for HomeWeek in your device’s Settings > Notifications, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t hiding them. Reminders can still be late or missed, so don’t rely on them alone for anything important.

Older items have disappeared

HomeWeek clears past items on the schedule your household chooses in Settings > Privacy & Data > Keep Past Items For (3 months unless an owner or admin changes it). Owners and admins can download the server archive of cleared items from the same screen while it is kept.

I removed someone from the household by mistake

The household’s owner or an admin can open Settings > Privacy & Data > Recycle Bin and tap Restore next to their name.

Inviting another adult

Owners and admins can tap Invite Adult in Settings > Household & People. The other adult needs their own account.

Weather

Weather is off until the household’s owner or an admin turns it on in Settings > Weather & Locale and chooses a place. Forecasts come from Open-Meteo and can be wrong or unavailable.

5. Leaving a household or deleting your account

  • Leave a household: Settings > Household & People > Leave Household. The household keeps what you shared with it.
  • Delete your account or household: email hello@homeweek.app from the email address on your account. We will confirm the request with you and complete it within 45 days.

Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is deleted and what a continuing household keeps.

6. Safety and emergencies

HomeWeek is not an emergency service. If anyone is in danger in the U.S., call 911. For a mental-health or suicide crisis in the U.S., call or text 988. Please read Safety & Household Responsibility.

If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and email us. If a shared screen is lost or stolen, remove it in Settings > Devices & Shared iPad.
